At the age of 19 I started painting while studying music.I had a few private art lessons and since then I have always picked up a brush to paint. It has been 10 years now and am more in love with it than ever before. Over the years I have figured out my style ,learnt through trial and error, and have been inspired by many artists around the world.

When I married my Swiss husband, I left South Africa and moved to Switzerland. Since then I am a mom to three kids and mainly paint at night,during nap times, inside ,outside. I make a plan to get to my paints and canvases! I work with acrylic paint on canvas and love experimenting with mixed media ,from fabric pieces to ordinary wall paints. I usually focus on an object or part of a person that catches my eye. Then I play with colors , textures and patterns as backgrounds. I usually keep my people faceless so that the viewer can identify more personally with the painting.

Creativity is something beautiful and a passion that brings joy and excitement to my everyday life. One must just go for it and be surprised at what one can do and learn. Paint something that makes you want to start another and another ...
